Why, hello there

Hello to everyone! Er, if anyone actually does read this blog. I have no idea. I do have two followers though, which I'm very thankful for. Not much has happened since my last entry, to be honest. I just felt like making an entry. Oh! I am making a studio in my room though. And my dad is going to take me tonight to look at lights and stuff. So I'm pretty excited. I'm going to temporarily use the wall next to my bed, but I want to eventually clear an entire wall. Which will be difficult, because I have a desk the size of an elephant and a twin sized bed. Baby steps though, right? Anyway, that's pretty much it.

Näkemiin,

Kels

(That's goodbye in Finnish, by the way.)

Phew.

Wow. I've been extremely busy for the past three days. I've been going non-stop, and I've barely had any time to relax until now. I had three family get-togethers in two days. That's exhausting. I hope everyone's Christmas was good! Mine was. I got an awesome book about the Vatican. I know that seems weird, but it's a subject I'm really interested in. I also got two movies, and a season of one of my favorite TV shows, Bones. And my parents also bought the family a new computer monitor. It's pretty spiffy. Anyway, I'm gonna go lay down. I've had hiccups for the past 10 minutes and it's caused a mean stomach ache. Urgh.

Adios!

Happy Christmas Eve!

So it's Christmas Eve! I'm so happy. I'm hanging out with my parents, and I made peanut butter balls. I kind of failed at them, but they'll still taste good. My best friend Kirsten is coming over in a little bit, my grandparents are coming over soon, and then my mom's best friend's family is coming over too. We'll probably play some Rock Band and board games, and just laugh a lot. And then they'll leave, and tomorrow morning it will be just my parents, brother, and I. I'm so excited!

Earlier today, I went to a Christmas Eve service at my church. I love my church, by the way. Anyway, it was such an awesome service. But, the best part was when we lit our candles. I had never experienced that before, apparently it's something churches do all the time for these kind of services. But it was so...moving. Everyone was silent as we all tightly gripped our wax candles above our heads, and as I looked around, I knew everyone in the room was feeling the same thing. It was just amazing.

So yeah. I'm having a great Christmas Eve so far!

Hope you're having a wonderful night!

Uh...

Sorry! I haven't blogged in forever. My bad. I just sort of...forgot? Yeah, let's go with that. Anyway, I've been pretty good. My life is a tad boring at the moment, but it's still okay. It's almost Christmas, and I'm super excited. No, not because of the presents. No, not because of the family. But it's my first official year as a Christian. I mean, I've always believed in God, but this past year I believed it for myself, and not because I was raised that way. So I'm really looking forward to celebrating the birth of my savior for reals this time. Anyway, I haven't been able to upload and edit any photos lately, because the home computer is fried again. So I've been surviving off of my brother's and dad's laptops. And I've come to realize that laptops frustrate me. A lot.

On a different note, I saw Cupcake Boy for the first time in months. I, of course, was too shy to even look him in the eye. Yes, I'm that pathetic. I literally get so nervous that I stumble all over and basically ignore him. I wish I had more courage to at least say hello. But no. It's me. Naturally I can't do that. If I tried, I would probably implode. So I just sat there as he walked in. I ate the remaining bits of my orange cupcake with shaky hands until he left the room. Then I quickly made my exit.

I fail at boys. I think I've come to the conclusion that I'll be single for the rest of my life. I mean, you have to actually talk to boys you like for them to become your significant other, right? Yeah. So, I'll just be a crazy cat lady. That sounds like fun. Maybe I'll be like the Duggars and name them all with J names. Mhm. It'll be rad.

Anyway, I better be off. Merry Christmas to all! (And Happy Holidays to people who celebrate something different!)

Shalom,

Kels

My dad is amazing.

Before I had to leave for the bus stop, I received the following text message:

Have a great gay!

Hola!

Hello everyone! So far I am having a good day. I was very productive in my classes today and have no homework, I'm officially all caught up from when I was absent, I created my first video and I really love it, and I'm hanging out with my dad tonight while my mom plays bunco with her friends. And right now, I'm blaring I Want To Break Free by Queen. Nothing is better than that. I just made a playlist called Feel Good Music. Songs that give me that happy feeling. Here are the songs:

I Want To Break Free - Queen
Daylight - Matt and Kim
Invisible Touch - Phil Collins
When The Day Met The Night - Panic At The Disco
Come Sail Away - Styx
Down To Earth - Peter Gabriel
Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen
Fresh Feeling - Eels
Get Out Of My Dreams, Get Into My Car - Billy Ocean
Hoppipolla - Sigur Ros
Human Touch - Rick Springfield
500 miles - The Proclaimers
Live Out Loud - Steven Curtis Chapman
More Than A Feeling - Boston
Obladi Oblada - The Beatles
Only The Good Die Young - Billy Joel
Star Girl - McFly
Under Pressure - David Bowie/Queen
Wake The Sun - The Matches
Transylvania - McFly
You Make My Dreams - Hall and Oates

It's kind of a long playlist, but it's good. Well, I better get going. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Bye!

Wooh!

It's the weekend! And I just slept in until 12pm. It's a lot better than waking up at 5:45am, let me tell you that. Yesterday I went to see my high school's school musical, Music Man. It was really good. I had never seen Music Man, and I really enjoyed the story. One of my good friends was in it, and it was fun to see him sing a song called Shipoopi. So today I'm hanging out with my best friend Kirsten. It was her birthday on the 4th, so it's kind of like a mini celebration. I'm making dinner for her, sticky chicken. It's such a delicious recipe! I put my own spin on it, too. Let's just say that garlic and cinnamon go better together than you think. And tonight we're also going to church, which I missed last week due to H1N1. Speaking of Swine Flu, I have some things to say about it Here we go:

1. It's not a big deal. Don't freak out.
2. More people die of the regular flu than the swine flu. It's only worse for a person if they have underlying health conditions, like really bad asthma or diabetes or something.
3. Just because I got the vaccine, does not mean I got it from it. So many people told me this. It's annoying.
4. I always mispell it as Swine Fly. I have no idea why.
5. When I got back to school and people asked where I was, I responded Swine Flu. People had many reactions: "What?! You did?!" (as if they were surprised I hadn't died) and more than one person actually backed away as if I was still contagious.

So basically, all I want to say is that it is not a big deal. It's just like the flu, but a little different. It doesn't mean if you get H1N1 you will die. It really makes me mad that tons of people think that.

And I'm finished ranting! I hope you have a wonderful Saturday, everyone.

Bye!

Er...

I sorta forgot about my blog. Oops...

I'm pretty much all better now. I had swine flu, and all that's left now is a cough and a little congestion. I'm almost all caught up in school, I only have to take two more make up tests. I was absent for an entire week, which is really difficult to make up. But I managed to stay sane, and my life seems to be back to normal. During this time at home, I became addicted to Disney Channel. I know, I'm 16, but I'm not ashamed to say that I think Disney Channel is amazing. Yes, all of the shows are extremely corny. But they're still funny, especially Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Gomez makes me laugh really hard. Speaking of Selena Gomez, I recently watched Another Cinderella Story. And let me tell you, I am officially in love with Drew Seeley. (I mean seriously, how can you look at that face and not instantly be on cloud nine?) In my personal opinion, he's the hottest guy ever. Just puttin' that out there.

Anyhoo, I better go. Mi madre just got home and I think we'll be eating some dinner soon. Because if food doesn't get inside this kid's system, she's going to rip someone's head off. Oh hey, you learned something new about me! Yes, I become extremely cranky when I'm hungry. I can usually control the monster when I'm around people I don't know very well. But just ask my family and close friends. They'll have horror stories.

Well, have a good night!

O_O

I'm still sick. It's my third day home from school. I am going insane.

Monday, November 2, 2009

D:

Being sick sucks big time. I didn't go to school today because my fever was at a steady 102*F almost all day. And I can't go tomorrow, because apparently there's a "rule" about being fever free for 24 hours before returning. Though, my fever is not gone yet so I suppose that's not even relevant. I went to bed at 9pm last night, and woke up at 12am feeling very worse. My body aches were so bad I couldn't get comfortable, thus me being kept awake until 5am. So yes, I'm running on three hours of sleep. Yet I couldn't fall asleep at all today. Can you tell I'm a bit upset? Anyway, enough whining. I hope you all are healthy.

May the force be with you.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

Uuugh.

I'm sick. Like, fever with body aches sick. And it sucks. A lot. Not to mention today is the first day of NaNoWriMo, and I haven't written anything yet. My head is just too clouded. But besides that, yesterday was Halloween, and it was tons of fun. My family had a party, and I had a super awesome time with my friends. At least I got sick after Halloween and not before. Well, I'm gonna go try and rest up a bit. There's no way I'm missing school tomorrow, so I wanna feel my best.

Hasta luego.

Goodnight!

I'm just about to go to bed, but I thought I'd blog before I do. My day was uneventful. Went to school, came home, did some laundry. I mainly tried to come up with a name for my main character for my story. I'm leaning towards Lukas. But I'm not entirely sure yet. Well, I hope you all had a good day!

Goodnight!

AH!

I am EXTREMELY happy right now! Today I got my braces off. EEEEE! I will share pictures at the end of this post! And then I got internet back! WOOH! Anyway, I'm uploading the plethora of pictures I've taken this weekend. So I'm excited to edit them. And tomorrow I get to sleep in. That's basically everything for right now.

I'm back!

It may not have seemed very long to you, but two days without internet is like an eternity to me. So yeah. My family's computer had a couple viruses, so it's in the computer shop thingy. Anyway, so the dance was on Saturday night. And I had so much fun! It was nice to dress up and see all my friends looking spiffy. I danced a lot, which is really unlike me. I probably looked like an idiot, but who cares? I had fun. That's all that matters. Then yesterday was pretty good too. My family and I went and got our pumpkins at the patch. Mine is a small one that is oddly shaped. It's pretty awesome looking. After that, we went to this really cute little 50s diner restaurant. It was delicious. Then, we went to the cupcake shop! I was really excited. For those of you who don't know, the cupcake shop used to be in my town. But their landlord was a jerkface, so they had to move to the town over. So this was my first visit to the new shop. It was so cute and cozy inside! And I saw Cupcake Boy. He's basically the hottest kid I've seen around here. I mainly go to the shop just to see him. I won't even deny it. If you were me you would go too. Anyway, so I was happy about that. But as we were walking away my brother says in a loud voice, "Was that cupcake kid?" Thanks Cam. That's exactly what I want Cupcake Boy to hear. This random girl he doesn't know has a crush on him. I'm guessing this officially puts me up to stalker status. Fun.

Ope, my mom just got home, and we're gonna grab some food.

Adios amigos!

My luck sucks

Today was homecoming Friday. Which was pretty good until after the assembly. It had gotten over a half hour early. So I was standing there, waiting for my bus, out in the pouring rain. Oh, it was windy too. So I'm just hangin' out, being really cold, when I started to smell something really foul. It smelled like dog poop, so I looked down, and I didn't see anything. Then I looked at the bottom of my shoe. Of course there's dog poop randomly in the middle of a High School campus, right next to a bench where I decided to stand. Yep. So if that wasn't enough, a bee decided to chase me. So here I am, wiping my shoe on the ground while I'm running around and swatting the air. Then it went and landed on my backpack. Thus making me wait 10 minutes for it to leave to get my stuff. It was so unbelievably how unlucky it was. I almost started laughing. Anyway, so that's my story of the day. Hope your day was better than mine!

Bye, friends.

My Mind

Okay, I have a lot of things on my mind. So here's a list of what I'm thinking about, and I'm going to explain about each one.

1.) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days - I want to play this game so badly! My brother and best friend have it, and I'm extremely jealous. Kingdom Hearts is one of the best video games ever made. So I can't wait to play it.

2.) Insane Homecoming Dance Ticket Lines - Okay, so on Tuesday my friend and I decided to buy our tickets. Then lunch ended and we couldn't. Same thing happened yesterday. And then today. So after school everyone went to buy tickets. I mean everyone. I didn't even get in line. My friend had to buy mine for myself. She was in the front of the line, and it still took her over an hour to get our tickets. It was so crazy!

3.) NaNoWriMo - I'm really getting pumped for NaNoWriMo. (If you don't know what it is, go here.) I finally just decided on my story line. And I'm really happy with it. Though, I need to do a bit more planning. And I need to download Word, so I can actually write it.

4.) Teriyaki Chicken - I don't know. I'm just really hungry, and craving it.

5.) The Play - Tonight is my old Junior High's school play. I was in two of them during my time at KJH, and two of my best friends are involved. Apparently it's really funny, so I'm looking forward to it.

6.) My Ear - For some reason my right ear is really warm. It's bugging me.

Okay, that's enough for the moment. I hope you enjoyed a small look into Kelsey's mind.

Have a good night!

Hola

Buenos noches, mi amigos. At the moment it is about 8:30pm. Today was quite productive for me. I went to school, finished all my homework, took and edited pictures, and finished reading a really good book. And now I'm sitting on a couch with my brother's laptop trying to force my heavy eye lids to stay open. It's weird how tired I am, considering I slept in about two hours this morning. School was okay. Very uneventful. And I came home and had an urge to take pictures. So I got my camera and went to the backyard. I came back inside with wet and dirt covered pants. Yeah. Photography can be messy. Mainly when you see a really cool mushroom formation and lay down in the wet grass to get a good shot. Mhm. I'll do crazy things for a good picture. I stopped in the middle of a road with cars once to attempt to get a good shot. My mom screamed at me, of course. Anyway, so yeah. Today was boring. Just like this blog post. I think my life is just extremely boring. So my apologies if you're uber bored with my blog. But this weekend is homecoming. So hopefully that'll spice up my weekend. Well, I guess I better go. My dad wants me to watch something on CNN. Wooh?

Adios!

Master of spaghetti

Last night I made the most amazing spaghetti. My mom usually makes her spaghetti with ground beef, but I made mine with sausage. It was awesome. I love cooking! It's so much fun. Taking a recipe and fiddling around with it is just buckets of endless fun. Well, to me anyway, heh. So anyway, my day was pretty good. No homework, which is always good. Though I had to come home to a mountain of dishes. A couple days ago my brother and I were supposed to do the dishes, and I was really tired. So I said if he did them by himself that day, I would do them the next day. Well, let's just say it wasn't that great of a deal and my hands are still stained orange from the pot that cooked my spaghetti last night. I think my brother is laughing maniacally on the inside. But it wasn't so bad I guess. I blared the music and rocked out. And I'm now I'm kicking back in a chair listening to 80s music and drinking out of my awesome Spock glass. But alas, it won't last long. As soon as my mom gets home we're going walking in the cold. Joy.

Hasta luego!

Happy Monday!

Mondays are always kind of hard. Waking up early after sleeping in during the weekend. Going outside when it's pitch black. Sitting on a cold bus for 15 minutes. Not really my idea of fun. But today wasn't too bad. I was strangely happy today. I dunno why. Anyway, my dad wants me to get off. Because I didn't walk three times this past week. And because he thinks I'm addicted to the computer. Well, I guess I better get off before he starts yelling at me. Adios, friends!

Second to last drive

Today I have my second to last drive in drivers ed. I'm finally getting to the point where I don't get uber nervous beforehand. It's the pretest, so it shouldn't be too difficult. I'm just excited to be finished with drivers ed so I can get my license in November. It feels so weird to say that. I still feel like I'm 10 years old. I'm as short as a 10 year old, so maybe that's why. But it's just so crazy to think how fast I'm growing up. I'm in High School now, I'm getting my braces off, and I'm getting my license. Honestly, it's freaking me out a bit. But I'm also extremely excited. :)

That's about it for today. Hasta manana!

P.S.

Mom's are awesome. They go to the store for you when there's no milk and you want cream of wheat.

Morning Storm

Today my friend and I woke up to thunder and lightning. It was pretty awesome. I tried to get a picture, but alas, I failed. Speaking of storms, which reminded me of one of my favorite quotes, I did something crazy last night. I know, right? Me? Crazy? Anyway, so...I asked a boy out on a date. Yes, I'm insane. Yes, of course he said no. But he said it politely. That should count for something, right? I'm proud of myself though. That's something I never thought I could do. So yeah. I was a bit sad, so my best friend Kirsten brought over some soup and green tea. Praise the Lord for best friends, that's all I can say. In other news, I'm going to Homecoming. It's a week from today, and I'm actually pretty excited. Today my mom and I are going dress shopping, and as a girl, of course I'm looking forward to that.

While we're on the subject of excitment, I get my braces off on the 27th! WOOH! So freaking excited. No more mouth pain! Or cut up cheeks! Or food getting stuck!

Okay. I'm done. Have a great day!

Adios, amigos.

Starting a blog

I'm starting a blog. I guess you could've guessed that, but I still felt the need to tell you. I don't know why I'm starting it. It might be because I'm bored. Or it might be because I'm a mopey teenager who needs somewhere to pour out the contents of her heart. I'm not entirely sure, so pick whatever floats your boat. Anyway, I'm pretty much guessing whoever is reading this knows me. But, if by some crazy random happenstance you don't know me, here's a little bit about myself. My name is Kelsey, I'm 16, I'm a Christian, I'm a sophomore, I'm really into photography, writing, and drawing, and I've heard that I'm a pretty nice kid. I'm a bit of a weirdo as well. I'm extremely shy, I have a lot of irrational fears, I overthink everything, and tons of other things that you don't really wanna know about. So yeah. That's a little bit of Kelsey. I guess that's good enough for the first blog post, right? I'm gonna go with yes. You will hear from me sometime in the near future. Hasta luego!
